Quercusia Species
- Quercusia quercus: Known as the Purple Hairstreak, this species is found in Europe, particularly in oak woodlands. It has striking purple-blue wings in males and is often seen high in tree canopies. Note: While sometimes classified under Lycaenidae, historical taxonomies place it in Pieridae due to wing scale characteristics.
Note: The genus Quercusia is the only Pieridae-associated taxon starting with Q. Other Pieridae genera do not begin with this letter, making Quercusia quercus a unique representative for this category.
